Review: Omega and Giveaway!!!

Title: Omega
Author: Karina Espinosa
Genre: Urban Fantasy
Cover Designer: Laura Hildago
Publisher: Black Quill Publishing
Hosted by: Lady Amber’s PR

I think this release had me the most excited in a while for a new book. I fell for this main character who isn't really like anyone I have read in a long time. She is fresh. She is who she is. She accepts that. But with the weight of everything that has happened in the short amount of time that it has. The loss of friends, and people she never knew, as the past is shining lights on the future that was paved long ago. Somethings you just never can let go. And when you want to. How?

I love the fact that the main character shows, at some points you think overload of emotional restraint. That she doesn't ever see what is right in front of her. She has always gone to great lengths to protect the ones she loves, her pack. But will she be willing to make yet another sacrifice? Will she finally choose and explore the weird tension between her and Bash? How can anything ever seem right when it all gets everyone she loves hurt.

Her best friend won't talk to her, she is back at work doing what she loves, but when she needs help the most, sometimes you just need to get away for a minute to think. Or walk to a Chinese restaurant. Mackenzie will have to learn, like always, the hard way to open her mind and sometimes just enjoy life.

This book does conclude Mackenzie story and it is not a let down at all. The emotional rollercoster and huge crying for me at the end was understandable but also unexpected at the same time. Ans one of the best parts for me is when a certain man says that he will not let her be alone again. You just fall for these characters who think they are all doing good, but somehow manage to screw up somewhere and manage to fix the broken bone. You can feel the pack within this odd ball group of misfits.

The summary here is that is amazing author has gotten you to fall for a bunch of amazing misfits who just want to be who they are. Laugh and snicker at Mackenzie as she pulls yet another trick after another so that she can do what she does best. Watch two brothers protect the girl they love, but only one can have her heart. And friends after friends grow on you as you pray they make it out alive and in some amazing fashion that sometimes I wouldn't have guessed happen. SO go support this amazing author and buy or rent the books. As always my unabridged thoughts will be below, but also still cryptic. Don't forget about the giveaway!!

Alright, excuse the lack of capital letters, I am lazy tonight. Its been a long week. Any-who, this book gets a 4.8/5 from me and the only reason it is not a solid 5 is because of a few lingering questions which can not be answered by the end of the book. I know that sounds weird, but if you read the book and were like, OMG, i gotta know, why wasn't anything said, well that is a major decision to make. especially when the first life change didn't go very well. you have to think about what you know in life and decide what is best for you. not always what your heart or brain is telling you. But logically what you know. and im cool with not having an answer because it is a great convo starter. she has one going in her groups. you should check them out. pretty good.

I like how you can always find help when you are looking for it. That sometimes all you need is a little luck and faith and you are golden. i defiantly liked the trip to the fairy realm. I wish there was more for an exploration but i understand. maybe in another book. this fairy realm seems like it has a great story and some amazing views i would like described by this author.

i will say i didn't like how she was so oblivious to how bash felt. it was kinda written all over his face, his actions, ect.. but it fit the character, i just personally didn't like this trait. And to be honest. i love how the emotional side of all this is looked into a little more in this series, especially in this book. I like how they went to find the door, and what happened there.

i hope the author sees this and knows that we all want to know about ROMAN!!! CAS!!!! These characters are amazing and I wish that we knew more, but I have enough to make my own theories, so thank you for that. Oh and Lucian. the way he calls her Pet. anyways, no more spoilers, have to be vague because you can read the book and than talk with us about spoilers on Facebook. so thanks for stopping by. appreciate it. I hope everyone has a good week. I know i will when my kids go back to school Thursday. More reading time.

The kiss he gave her started with a slight brush of their cool lips, then something shifted between them. Klayne could no more have pulled away than he could have leaped up and grabbed onto the moon. Delaney’s arms slid around his neck as her lips warmed beneath his.
He kissed her long, deep, and more passionately than he’d ever kissed another.
As the last chime rang out, he came to his senses and lifted his head, every bit as surprised as Delaney was by what he’d done. The moment her released her, her eyes popped open and the look she gave him held yearning mingled with astonishment.
“Wow, Sergeant Campbell! That’s certainly an unforgettable way to usher in a new year.” Her hand went to her throat and he watched as she struggled to slow her rapid breathing.  “In fact, that is the most memorable Happy New Year wish I’ve ever received.”
Klayne felt heat burn his cheeks despite the arctic air seeping into them. “I’m sorry, Miss Danvers. I didn’t intend to… that’s to say, I didn’t mean… I didn’t plan...”
She laughed, a sound that arrowed straight into his heart, and wrapped her arm around his. A light tug and they continued to the house where partygoers began to spill outside.
“It’s okay,” she said, leaning close to him. “You don’t have to apologize for something I enjoyed so much. Just be careful you don’t make a habit out of stealing kisses from unsuspecting girls and leaving them thoroughly discombobulated. If you do, I’ll have to report you to the authorities.”
Doing his best to appear repentant, he hid a grin and nodded solemnly. “Yes, ma’am.”
